The Crystal Meth Megalon is pretty.

I picked up a cute figure of Woo, the abominable snowman from the Ultraman episode.

I finally broke down and bought me the Sunguts GMK Godzilla & Baragon set! These figures are cute as hell!

Good choice! I'm a fan of the Sunguts figs too:

Those Sunguts figures are awesome. I have a really cool Gamera one. Are these older figures or new ones?

I just purchased my first Pilot Ace figure. I like their sculpts and have been on the fence about them for quite a long time, but with their bankruptcy and my renewed forays into godzilla goodies, I came away with Pilot Ace's King Ghidorah in the gold variant, which came with the set of gold figures released last year:

Image

It really is quite a big figure. The only Ghidorah I have that is larger is the x-plus statue...the only Ghidorah figure I have that is comparable in size is nothing smaller than the GMS Ghidorah:

Image

Ignoring my crappy photography skills, the Pilot Ace is still slightly taller.

One thing however: I notice the sculpt from the pilot ace suffers from disproportionate shoulders. This results in the left wing drooping a bit lower than the right. Unfortunate.

All in all I think I'm pleased. I like collecting Ghidorah figures and none of the ones from the "premium vinyl" companies have really appealed to me except for Pilot Ace's.

I totally agree with you on the Pilot Ace Ghidora. Probably one of their very best Godzilla figures. The Bandai GMS figure gets the proportions right, but it doesn't scream "KING GHIDORA" the way the Pilot Ace figure does.

If you want to talk about droopy wings take a look at this picture of my Ghidora collection (missing the GMS figure, since it's damaged and I need to upgrade it):

Image

The orange Pilot Ace Ghidora in the background was the very first release. Just look how badly the left wing droops!

What I'm dying for is either a suit accurate King Ghidora from a company like X-Plus or at the vest least a 6" Ghidora from Bandai. Fat change though, I'm sure.

The sculpt is good, especially compared to some of the other Marmit Gamera figure from that time (Barugon and Jiger are awful) but it's that great blue paint on the front that makes the figure stand out. This is probably my second favorite Gamera VP after Gyaos.
