I wouldn't even mind it if their
love was on the rocks and loss, crisis and upheaval brought them back together (kind of like
Shaun of the Dead), but absolutely NOT like
Cloverfield where the whole basis of the exposition was in finding this dude's "soulmate" across a wrecked city in a hazardous building. Really, it would be nice if any romantic involvement was just kind of a part of the background. Implied and understood as such.
