I would like his beam to be a blue version of the G2000 as well...It would also be cool to have a real eerie dorsal light up sequence as well, the brighter the illumination the more powerful the beam...no explosions, just pure heat that may result in an explosion. and make it look fiery!!!

This is different but may be cool, since we are talking radiation, what if as his power builds you see crackles of electricity between the dorsals, probably not the best idea but may make a cool visual.

Otherwise you could even show the heat he generates causes distortion of buildings/objects around him so there is more collateral, though subtle damage aside from where the breath hits...

The possibilities are limitless. Just show me his crusty face post blast healing...like it was said before, his beam should be more of a desperation weapon or finisher that takes a lot out of him to use so we get some melee action. Tooth and claw fightin, throwing each other into buildings and using objects to inflict damage.

I'd say Godzilla exists in that weird place somewhere between Horror, Science Fiction, and Fantasy but isn't actually its own entity.

Or maybe not.

I recall hearing on the radio once, I'm thinking around the 40th anniversary mark, that the Japanese did consider Godzilla to be horrific and that the films (probably the early movies) were scary to them. :shock:

Of course this may have been just Gaijin ignorance on the matter, as the whole shtick was basically about how silly it would be to think of a Godzilla movie as anything BUT silly.
