Evil Dead 2 vs Army of Darkness

Postby The Dark Uniter » Thu Aug 06, 2009 10:17 pm

Which film do you find more enjoyable? I personaly think that Evil Dead 2 has the right balance of horror and comedy. I love horror movies that make you gross out and laugh at the same time. But I love the fact that Army of Darkness has many great one liners and its funny but its missing its horror element of Evil Dead which makes it so great. My vote goes to Evil Dead 2.

Evil Dead 1 is like the only ``serious`` film in the series. I thought it has great gore, horror and dark comedy. Its my all time favorite log cabin movie, however I find Evil Dead 2 more entertaining than 1 and so I watch 2 more than 1 or Army of Darkness.

Sadly, after the Evil Dead thread I did, and countlessly watching Evil Dead 2, I have come to say that it is my favorite out of the three! *Hence my sig*

Army of Darkness. Evil Ash and Little Ashes are just down right awesome. Not to mention it made the line Klatu Verata Nicto memorable. Plus the score is excellent (and is done by the same guy who did the score to the 2002 He-Man series). Oh yeah, and the Ted Raimi cameos are a trip.

not quite. "Klaatu Barada Nikto" was famous and memorable LONG before that- else why would it be in this movie?

memorable long before Ash ever said them.

No no no... It's Klaatu Barada Necktie.

I voted Evil Dead II. I love all three of em, but EDII has a special place in my heart.
