anyone heard of a new gamera movie?

Spinning flame-jetted turtles, space birds being chopped up like bologna, kids in shorts screaming for help...the original Gamera series was a strange mix of wacky fun!! The 90's Gamera films set a standard that other kaiju films are measured against! Discuss Gamera films here!!

After the last one tanked in 2006, I wouldn't expect a new Gamera movie before the year 2020 at the earliest.

I could see something happen only because we're already getting something with Daimajin, but not anytime soon. And whatever we get will have nothing to do with Gamera the Brave, I think it's safe to say.

If there was to be a new Gamera film, it should be a film adaptation of either the Dark Horse Comics or a film adaptation of Gamera 2000...

A new Gamera film should be a Godzilla adaptation? What?

Yeah...do you mean it's like...Gamera in place of Godzilla in the same set of events as those depicted in G2k?

Anyway I think it's a shame The Brave did so terrible. I really love that movie and Zedus was a cool bad guy. Maybe Gamera will come back again some day, but I doubt it's any time soon. The closest I would think would be in 2015 for the 50th anniversary...but at this point even that is doubtful.
