Saw it yesterday with two friends, one of them a longtime Star Trek fan and all of us liked the movie a lot. For me is the best along with First Contact (Borgs in a movie = win), SPOILERS only gripe is Nero was more like a bad-guy-of-the-week (who happens to have a powerful weapon) than a solid menace. Even if he destroyed Vulcan. And we need a spoiler tag. /SPOILERS

Did anyone notice the young Kirk was nonchalantly eating an apple during the Kobayashi Maru exercise? In ST:The Wrath of Khan, Kirk was also eating an apple in the Genesis Planet recounting this tale at the academy.

I also agree with Tyler Martin: I just can't see a bunch of kids straight out of Starfleet Academy running the Enterprise. What happened to all the more seasoned veterans? Was Capt. Pike insane for naming Kirk as 1st officer when he left the Enterprise to board the Romulan ship? How can this be? This voyage wasn't a training exercise, they were clearly going to battle.

I loved this movie despite it's lack of logic at times.
