Why does EVERYONE on the internet write "bias" when they mean "biased"? I love the WWW but hate how it made everyone stupid.

I finally saw this and holy crap, this is the most fun I've had in theaters in forever. I'm shocked at the lack of review posts in this thread. Any self respecting kaiju/monster fan needs to see this ASAP. Its a complete love letter to kaiju movies and 50s monster and invasion films. There are tons of nods to those films as well (there's an awesome direct Destroy All Monsters reference but I won't spoil it). G-Fans will also get a kick out of the numerous Mothra references. There's also plenty of tributes to movies like the Blob, Creature From The Black Lagoon, 50 Foot Woman, the Invisible Man, War of the Worlds, Earth vs. the Flying Saucers, The Day The Earth Stood Still, the Fly, both versions of the Thing, Close Encounters, etc. The voice talent is great and the movie is honestly laugh out loud funny in many places. See it now and see it in 3-D!

You know, for all the whining that people do about how our genre is dead and nothing exciting going on, its disappointing to see that not many people here have gone to see this. I hope they aren't turned off by the "family film" aspect because its a movie that people of any age can enjoy. I felt like a 3 year old bouncing up and down in my seat the whole time. Its one of the best animated movies of the decade, and its certainly Dreamworks best animated film by FAR. They even ditched the lame pop culture stuff (except for 2 pretty glaring instances, which were handled well).

So go see this, damnit.

I've been wanting to see this since last year, so I've tried to avoid clicking on this thread too much to keep myself from seeing too many spoilers.

I haven't had time to head to the theater since the movie was released -- hopefully I'll be able to see it in the next week or so.

There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.
