I watched part of the Japanese print of Gargantuas again, and it's definitely a hell of a lot darker than the American print. You can barely see Gaira when he sneaks up behind Kipp Hamilton to stick her in his throat. The brightness didn't seem to bad on Kiryugoji's projector, though. All-in-all, I definitely prefer the American Gargantuas. The Japanese Rodan, however, is a much more enjoyable film than it's Americanization.
