I thought this weeks episode was a good one...they just delt with the issues at hand, and didn't have any new freaky revelations or twists thrown in (except maybe for the whole paternity of the baby issue, but that was really moot to me). It will be interesting to see what happens with the whole Caprica/Ty pregnancy though! And anyone else sense that nurse was going to do something bad in the future with the way it kept focusing on her while they talked about the future of the Cylons? Maybe not, but it seemed very forshadowing.

Some questions I hope get cleared up by the finale...(and anyone else is free to offer up their own ideas!)

1. The whole Earth being populated by a Cylon race.
2. How the "Final Five" got from Earth to the colonies.
3. What happened to their memories?
4. Were they having "natural" child reproductions on Earth?
5. Why are there only one model of each of the "final five"?
6. WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO STARBUCK!?!?
7. Was Cylon Earth OUR Earth or a fictional Earth? Why not just call it something else if it's a different Earth with a different history? I suppose this one ties in with the first question...

I hope Gaeta gets his ass kicked (again!)...I've hated him ever since he threw Baltar under the bus in court. Not that I liked Baltar much, but still...that was terrible to do! I also want to see the female member of the final five (forget her name) get her ass kicked by Chief for what she did to Cally!

Not as good as last week but still pretty impressive.

I have to admit that there were a lot more comedic moments (the macbre kind) particularly where Tyrol runs into the Kelly aiming a gun at him. Also comming to mind was when Kara and Lee sprung free the Humanoid Cylon prisoners.

Baltar's dream on how Adama would have died was very freaky.

Roslin did a pretty good job.

I think that Gaeta felt tired of it all and perhaps wanted to get a way out.

A complaint that I have here was how they used Zarek (considering that the fact that he was played by original series actor Richard Hatch and in his case, I think he should have gotten a better sendoff that what he got here).

I liked the ending where Tyrol looks and finds to his horror the damage that the Galactica has been going through. Her end is definitely nearing.

So any thoughts.

I'm not happy about what they did with Geata.
They never explained what really happened in the C.I.C. when he apparently handed Sharon something that looked like a gun. When she shot Adama way back in season one.

They even made a big deal of focusing the camera on their hands trading something just before she shot him. And they never explained it.

Now that they've killed him off without any explanations about that scene. I'm officially calling Shannanagans. :naughty:

I have to admit it was a complicated if interesting episode tonight.

1. Even though I'm still iffy about Ellen being a Cylon, it was fun for her to tangle with Brother Cavil (especially at the begining of the episode).

2. Even though it may have been a hard decision, imagine perhaps if Galactica has to face off against the Cylon fleet (lead by a hellishly enraged Cavil). Without the planned extra armor, I would guess that she wouldn't last five seconds against the Cylon basestars.

Well that is it, the show has finally ended (there will be another TV movie coming out later this year).

While there were some small things, particularly at the end, this episode delivered, particularly when Galactica jumped in on the colony and all hell literally broke loose.

Kudos must be given to the special effects team for what they had to pull off here (literally they had to outdo both Resurrection Ship and Exodus).

Congratulations are in order for the production crew and the actors for an incredible job. And as for the actors (mainly the younger gang) I hope that they move on and continue to have a grand time at the job for they have earned it (particularly James Callis).

Also nice way to wrap up with many of the characters with the saddest of course being with Adama and his family with both Adama and his son being torn away from their beloved women.

So any thoughts.

I have to say I was extremely dissapointed.

I knew that they were writing this show on the fly, but I had no idea it was going to be like this. Making up situations that look like they are going to be important later but then they really weren't just really turned the entire series off to me.

Oprah house - meant nothing
Head Six - nothing
Dying Laura - nothing
Finding the first Earth - nothing
Hera - nothing
and on, and on…

You know what DID end up being important but wasn't played up that way?
Cali being killed by Tori. Who knew? Who cared?

If Caprica is going to written in this same manner, this "lets put this situation in, it'll be cool! We'll figure out what it means later" kinda writing. I'm not going to care.

What a let down.

I apologize for reviving this dead thread but if anyone is interested, the BSG production guys released a new DVD based on the next series that they're going to work on which is called Caprica. It's the pilot movie for the news series.
