If Nakajima/Satsuma Could Each Sign One Toy You Own...?

Postby Legion » Wed Jan 07, 2009 11:47 pm

...what would it be?

I'd have Nakajima sign a Bandai 1968 Godzilla and I'd have Satsuma sign a Bandai Hedora. This is probably something I would have done if I had gone to G-Fest and met Nakajima (though I did meet both of them in '96).

OH, I'd definitely have the tag on my 1999 Bandai Godzilla 1954 signed by Nakajima. I'd also have the 2006 Bandai Hedorah signed by Satsuma.

I don't know what I'd do for Nakajima. Sure, there's my Bandai Megaro-Goji, but somehow that doesn't feel like it's good enough! And I don't actually have older Gojis represented in my collection anymore. I don't have a full list of the kaiju he played in Ultraman either.

Satsuma is much easier to pick one, though: MH Gigan. That role is the one out of all of his that I hold most dear, and I can't think of a better Gigan toy for him to horribly deface with his signature, with all those big and smooth surfaces.

resurrecting this thread as i'm catching up on stuff from the past year...

I had nakajima sign my bandai G 64, the original Nintendo NES game, and the bullmark diecast G. If i could go back to the convention and bring any other items, i'd probably just ask him to sign the GMS box for the mosu goji. Though the ultimate would be to get several original vintage posters and have him sign those. That would have been awesome.

Satsuma I had sign my M-1 Godzilla vs. Biollante model it box, and the instruction sheet to the bandai super big scale final premium, as well as the tag to the original bandai 84 godzilla. If the internet was around back then I'd have done proper research and brought some gigan figures and my bandai hedorah to have him sign....can't think of anything else I'd want him to sign, except for more garage kits

Nakajima the Bandai Museum Godzilla 54...I know alot of people don't like the figure and it's not entirely suit accurate but I like it...and if I ever bought a Gaira figure from X Plus I'd get him to sign that as well...

Satsuma..hmm...there are no Hesei Godzilla figures as of yet that I really feel stand out...which is odd...but now that I think of it...the Hesei series hasn't really recieved any decent figures outside of the Marmit line...would be nice if X Plus eventually did some Hesei figures but I'm not holding my breath...oh...and to answer it...I'd have to find a poster or something I guess

^Actually I just thought I'd love to have Nakajima sign the back of that M1 figure that shows Nakajima in the 54 godzilla costume. That would be pimp!

Of course if you were in japan at the time you could have gotten it done at the time of release, but for the rest of us...that'd be the perfect collectible to have him sign, aside from the actual theatrical poster, IMO.
