There is actually a Hallmark mini-series version that is extremely faithful to Mary Shelly's novel, even more so than Kenneth Branagh's movie. It stars Alec Newman as Victor Frankenstein, William Hurt as Prof. Waldmen, and Luke Goss as the monster. Even the design of the monster is novel accurate.

You'd think that Variety would know that 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was Disney's 2nd live action movie. Treasure Island (1950) was Disney's first live action film.
