I'll go to my grave maintaining that GFW sucked completely, but I expected James Rolfe to like it and I suppose...if I squint...I guess I can see why some people like it. Doesn't mean that I do.

Camp can be fun, the Showa series had some awesome entries, and there's only so seriously you can take a kaiju movie. That being said, the 50th anniversary final bow for Godzilla was not the proper film to play for laughs. Then again, I've thought every single Kitamura movie I've ever seen sucked too - Maybe a halfway decent director could've done GFW in a still light, but more satisfying, way.
