If he trashed Sea Monster (I'll check it out when I get home - he wasn't watching an ancient pan-and-scan version was he?) I don't have high hopes for his reviews for most of the 1970s films.

I also didn't like Godzilla Vs The Sea Monster. I remember being really disappointed. I actually worked my ass off to buy this movie back then. I only saw the movie twice, and it sits in my collection collecting dust. Wait... I think I don't even have the movie anymore.

Oh yeah, I also didn't like Monster Zero all that much either. It was just a combination of hype and misinformation. I thought that movie was Ghidrah The Three Headed Monster. Turns out it was a completely different movie... which is also extremely similar.

I think he'll like the really weird movies too. If he loves the dance, I don't see why he wouldn't like the super flying jump kick in Godzilla Vs Megalon.

So according to him, the rock toss scene in GTTHM is awesome, but the one in GvsSM is too silly? When King Kong replaced Frankenstein, everything was ok, but when Godzilla replaces King Kong, he has a problem? What?

This review made no sense. This movie rocks (no pun intended).

Just watch them and compare it. The GTTHM rock toss wasn't as long and was silly fun, while the one in Sea Monster was long and boring. Plus, it's already been done.

Hey I think the rock toss in Sea Monster is pretty much the definition of "fun and silly"

Yeah, the rock toss may have already been done, but just about every other element of Sea Monster was fresh for the series.
