Just got the set in the mail earlier. I've had no time to actually watch anything yet, but I'll comment on the packaging. The only notable thing that's "weird" is that they didn't make it so the DVD case could close. lol.. no big deal, as it's definately closed in between two other DVDs, but that's the only thing I noticed.

Can't wait to watch them!! And of course the documentary which I've heard is really great.

For me, I love pretty much the whole Showa era of kaiju cinema, the good and the bad. This was the ERA of kaiju and even when the genre springs back to life, it'll never be what it was then. I've also become a fanatic of Ishiro Honda as a director as well (he's probably my favorite director in general).

The Heisei series is hit or miss for me these days. There's some sloppy stuff in there, but there's some truly great stuff too. I love G'84, Biollante, Mecha-G, Destroyah. I have a great deal of affection for the Heisei series, even if a few entries aren't as good as others (although I can pretty much leave GvsSG and the Mothra trilogy). I discovered the Heisei series when I was first getting into Godzilla around 92, and I was able to track down and follow the films as they came out. And for a kid in elementary school to be able to get their hands on these rare films, it was something very special for me, which probably explains why I'm so fond of them.

The Millenium series I could litreally take or leave. I can watch any of em and be entertained, but they don't do much for me in the long run (even the precious GMK). The whole series is just "there" for me. If I had to pick favorites, I'd pick the two most extreme of the series (GMK and GFW). But honestly, that whole series just seems dull, derivitave and pointless (which it basically is.)

I never understood why they removed the march from the US version of WOTG. The stuff they replaced it with pales in comparison, not to mention it gets on your nerves after a while. What did UPA have against it? They even resorted to using stock tracks from Monster Zero during the final battle!

Does Classic Media usually send out an email informing you when your order has shipped? I ordered mine directly from CM, but no sign of it yet.

I'm in Canada, so that could easily explain the delay but every other order that I've place with them has arrived very fast.
