The Dark Knight was #1 for the 4th weekend in a row. It has now become the third highest grossing film of all time after only Star Wars and Titanic.

Nice.

By the way I saw it a 4th time last Friday and I'm still stunned by it.

Even after adjusting for inflation, The Dark Knight has made its way into the Top 50 most-attended films of all time. It's at #49 as of this post and it's only been out for four weeks.

I think they obviously haven't thought as far as the third film yet (as Nolan has stated plenty of times). That's why it looks like the fate of Two Face could go either way. So if they come up with a great story that doesn't have him, they won't HAVE to use him. They knew Joker HAD to be the second film, but for the third, they have the freedom to do whatever they want. Its not worth thinking about so much. Is Two Face alive? There literally isn't an answer, the film makers don't even know the answer.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we all saw this happening (I did anyway). Oh well. Two Face was scary as hell and was done pretty damn good justice even if he didn't have much screen time.

Q: Is Harvey Dent alive?
Aaron Eckhart: No. He is dead as a door nail.

Q: So he's not coming back?
Eckhart: He ain't coming back baby!

Q: I was hoping he would.
Eckhart: No. I asked Chris [Nolan] that question and he goes, "You're dead" before I could even get the question out of my mouth. "Hey Chris, am I?" "You're dead!" Alright, cool.

Q: That's not a problem in comic book movies. You could still come back.
Eckhart: I think in contract negotiations it's a problem.

Q: So you were never signed on for another film?
Eckhart: No, I'm not coming back. I think unfortunately, Heath [Ledger] was supposed to go on and that didn't work out. I'm nobody. I'm a cog. I have no say over this sort of stuff. I'm sure that there's so many other characters that they could whip together.

That's really a shame. I think Two-Face deserved more screen time. Well, the whole pacing of the Dent/Two-Face character was still much, much better than what Rami did with Brock/Venom in SM3. Anyway, I suppose there's always a chance we could see Eckhart come back as Two-Face, but no reason to get any hopes up. Whatever Nolan does for part 3 (assuming there is one) will probably be great whether it involves Two-Face or not.
