Well, the Dark Knight has broken another record as the fastest movie to make more than $300 million. It has already made more than Indy 4 did in its entire theatrical run and its on its way to beating Iron Man's entire theatrical run before Monday... all this and its only been out 10 days!

I've never been a sports fan. I've never known what it's like to have a favorite team and to be bitterly dissapointed when your team looses and to pile up all your resentment on the victor. I liked The Dark Knight when it came out, but considering how it took away all of Hellboy 2's audience and made the film drop.... I now hate The Dark Knight. I utterly loathe it and hope I never see Christian Bale in another film again. Everytime I see a news report about the records the film is breaking my eyes narrow and I find myself quietly growling and the television. I'm gonna trade in my Batman Begins DVD for a few bucks at Moviestop.

....I'm pretty easy going guy, but this warrantless hate, I gotta admit it feels kinda... kinda good.

...what does that mean?

I got to say, I didn't think the "Hellboy" sequel was anything special. It was decent, but I liked the first one a lot more...

Where did that movie's thread go anyway?

Knight Can't Rescue Time Warner Stock

30 July 2008 10:26 AM, PDT

Warner Bros.' The Dark Knight added another $10.52 million to its gross on Monday, bringing the total to $324.3 million, making it the studio's biggest hit in history. In less than two weeks, it has already earned more than its previous top money-maker, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, did throughout its entire run in 2001-2002. Nevertheless, the success has had virtually no effect on the stock of the studio's parent, Time Warner. The Hollywood Reporter observed Tuesday that Time Warner shares stood at $14.70 on July 18, the film's opening day. On Tuesday they were trading at $14.57. The trade paper commented, "It appears that one of the biggest movies of all time has done nothing for shareholders of the company that made the film, distributed it and will collect the bulk of its profits. And let's not forget that Tw also is parent of DC Comics, where Batman was born, so profits ought to be rolling into that unit off of Dark Knight as well."
