The movie actually doesn't look as bad as I thought it would be, I saw tons of parallels to the original (the conversation in the woods, ect) And Gort IS this movie, so not to have him would be suicide. Although the producers did say he is not the same Gort we all know and love.

I am still in shock that these old classics are getting remade, can you believe next year we are going to see an all green screen, all cgi Clash of the Titans?! Sorry, but I can't help being excited!
