kiryugoji, that's quite incorrect. ADV wasn't in any trouble. They were having some difficulty with the anime licensor that they were dealing with which prompted a slight disruption in their publishing schedule.
While this is the first time it has happened with an anime company, it happens from time to time with manga publishers.
At any rate, the whole mess came up because ADV Films decided to pull out of the U.K. and allow the distribution of their titles by U.K. distributors and this forced them to remove various animt titles from their website.
They continue to publish titles and the problems that occured in January are all but gone. Everyone thinks that since Geneon departed, that it's having a rippling effect, which is conpletely untrue.
FUNimation, Bandai Entertainment, and various other companies are starting to pick up Geneon's anime title for distribution with FUNimation leading the charge.
