Just because of one particular sound effect in one episode, you condemn the whole series? That doesn't make much sense, Mac.
In the first place, these are kids shows after all... and are made as entertainment, not hard science fiction for adults. So, there are comical episodes as well as serious episodes. I thought that, overall, GAIA was the best out of the first three Heisei Series.

Detailed information about this film has been pretty scant (except for an issue of Uchusen magazine). I remember reading (somewhere) that Minoru Kawasaki was involved, but it was directed by a Nakajima (can't remember his first name). The full title is "Legendary Colossus: The Wolf Man vs. Godzilla" (Dentetsu-no Kyojin Ookami Otoko tai Gojira). It was made as a mock movie trailer. It runs five minutes according to a listing of short 8mm films, including this one, shown in Kanagawa in 1993 (it has been screened as recently as 2003).
