I've said my peace before. I loved the TM toys when they were brand new and gave me the option to collect something other than Bandai toys, which at that point were still the only game in town. I had just about all of these things and I remember spending so much time checking out every Toys R Us I could find looking for new figures.

But by the time figures like Baragon, Varan and Megalon had come out I was knee deep in Japanese toys that were starting to come out by companies other than Bandai. I just started to see the TM line as cheap, plastic noisemakers that were intentionally designed to bear only a passing semblance to their film counterparts. And as time has passed I've retroactively started feeling this way about the entire line as a whole. I know there are people out there that don't like it when I say this but I'm not a fan of American-made Godzilla toys. Period. We're all entitled to our opinions, right?
