I wish I had money for games but building this computer made me poor. The next game I get that I buy with my money will be MGSIV probably. My friend whom I sold my PSP too because I'm getting a slimone is going to be buying Crysis for me as soon as he gets Taxes back.

I'm finally going to pop in Mass Effect tomorrow after having it for a few days now. I let my brother in law borrow my PS3 because he wanted to see what it was like on his new 60" 1080p Sony TV that "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!".

So I'll just finish Resistance when I get the PS3 back.

The beginning is a bore, and wwhat makes it worse(or better) is that based on your "type" you get more out of it than you would. For example, soldiers get almost NO extras. Biotics get to use the environment as weapons, and the techs get to take stuff from the wreckage.

Once you get past that, to where you actually get to meet everyone else, it gets interesting. I'm liking how each team member just happens to be at the right place at the right time and you have the OPTION(yes, the option, not "oh, you MUST accept him/her because it's vital to the story") to accept or deny ANY party member...though I don't see why you'd do that, considering these guys and girls are an interesting bunch.

.....which leads me to another thing - is it me, or do I spot a weakness in BIOWARE's creation of the game - there's not that much you can do, there aren't a whole lot of people to speak to, and you can only have two team mates at your side instead of all of them when you need them....then there's the lack of conversation you can have with them - they say the same environment-specific line EVERY TIME you speak to them outside of battle! There's no dialogue/discussion you can make during missions or at the citadel or any "overworld" place!

HOWEVER.....I will say this...this game is HUGE. Not Lost Odyssey huge, but HUGE. To actually fly from planet to planet and actually GO IN and EXPLORE is a big undertaking.

Hope the next MS system doesn't come out in 2010 we're just now getting into the Xbox.

I was going ask if anyone thought MS would put a BD-ROM in the next Xbox or create their own properitary format because DVD can't cut it any more.

I'm sure they'll stick with Blu-Ray.

Any one plan on getting Mass Effect's DC that was released today "Bring Down the Sky"?

I think after I do a play through of the game I will. I'm also considering getting Blue Dragon's Shuffle Dungeon add-on.

Has anyone seen how Super Street Fighter HD's lookin' so far? Looks freakin' great, and thanks to M$ lifting the download limit, I hope we'll get a seemless conversion on the consoles....'cause I'm itchin' to play some arcade matches!

Also, I think the 360's gonna heat up in a bit - with some proposed "kiler apps" on the system, like Prey II and Mass Effect 2. I really hope they deliver on ME2, because so far, this game is far beyond what I expected it to be - it's intense, and based on what's been said about it, imagine a universe far greater than the one already in-game, with your character and squad from the first game....that's massive undertaking. No RPG sequel, to my knowledge, has ever delivered a true character port-over like that(except Pokemon, but that's another story...).

I liked Prey - it was interesting and unique, but once the new FPSs came out, it wasn't that special anymore. Hopefully GT delivers some more interesting gameplay this time around.

and last but not least, it seems Duke Nukem 4Ever will take forever to make....again. GT Interactive backed out of their Fall 2008 estimated release date and has once again stated "when it's done, it'll be out. We won't announce it either, it'll just be a massive advertising campaign that'll be so in-your-face, it'll make your head spin."

We'll see.

Mass Effect 2 hopefully won't be out this year (if they did that then I think a lot of people may be a bit pissed since they started releasing downloadable content recently). But now that EA is in charge you never know I guess...

And Prey 2... I never played the first one, but heard that it wasn't very good and rather generic for a shooter. I don't recall it selling very well either, but there are definitely more interesting-looking games out there if you ask me.

Prey was generic - the Serious Sam of the 360.(Gameplay-wise, 'cause the game(SS) itself felt like an enhanced flash game, but was fun)

...and no, Mass Effect II won't be released this year, but next year. :D

I see this year being a Sony year myself and next year MS taking the spotlight again, Nintendo has what comming out? They just released their biggest app after that there's really nothing to look forward too.

I personally think Duke will be out early next year or maybe they're just going to do a surprise release and release it out of the blue.

It'd be funny if they got permission to use part of the Profit Truth's speech from Halo 2 and that is: "There are those who said this day would never come what are they to say now?"

Prey was okay but the multiplayer sucked a lot. Story was pretty decent.

SO it seems like Ninja Gaiden II has been given a release date of June 3rd, 9 days before MGS4. While I highly doubt it will come out in June given Tecmo's track record, it will be interesting to see if I can get the game done in 9 days.

Sadly, I agree, GVamp. As much as I loved Mario Kart on the SNES, they have never made it good enough since. I may get the Wii one sometime when I have nothing else to play, but there really is nothing left for the Wii I care about. :-( Well, I really can care less as long as they start getting some more friggin games that don't suck on the VC.

Banjo Kazooie 3... confirmed for 2008.

Good news that this is coming out (although it does seem a bit soon for some reason. I figured 2009 personally), no doubt, but it has been so long and I wonder if it'll be like 1 and 2 or not. Rare hasn't really impressed me since being bought by MS, so hopefully this game is good.

It'll be interesting because BK1 was said by many to better than Mario 64, and now we have Mario Galaxy which changed the nature of platformers with the wii-mote, so we'll see if BK3 can do something to push the genre a bit. But no doubt it'll be compared to Mario Galaxy.
