Just throwing in my two cents -- don't kill me!

Based on the first episode alone, I wasn't really impressed. But, I am hopeful it picks up in later episodes.

Half the episode was just the monster battle, which quite honestly began to drag after a while. There are large chunks of the episode where nothing happens to progress the story. I also felt like I was watching a Bandai commercial at times (although, I suppose that's not unexpected, considering the whole show is based on a video game.)

To me, what made shows like STAR TREK great wasn't that they had bright colors and looked like they were made in the 60s, it was that they had compelling writing, which IMHO, this episode sincerely lacked. Creating a retro-environment and brining back the "forgotten" kaiju is fun, but that isn't all that goes into making a good show, for me at least.

On the plus side, the actors seem well suited to the roles, the suits looked fantastic, the soundtrack seems pretty good, and the sets aboard the ship are very cool.

I look forward to next week. Lots of great shows had bad episodes, so I hope I'll enjoy the next one more. If not, there are plenty of other shows to enjoy, which is the beauty of the genre. Something for everyone, right?

Banpira returns. What's cool is that Banpira's first episode was alongside Mitsutoshi Shundo, as it will be in this...

So far I really enjoyed the series. Can't understand what is going on for the most part but I can make part of it out. It would be awsome if they had Jirass or Gnomes make a comback.

 It's totally mindless !!

I love it. Best viewed while relaxing and drinking beer.

Who ever thought that Gomora would basically get his own show ???

Gomora was always one of my favorite Ultra Kaiju, so for him to be the main hero on this show kicks so much a$$! Plus I like the nice heat ray addition. They really kept him an active monster as well, he's a mean fighter! I can't remember which episode it was...10 or 11...but when he materializes out of thin air and body slams into the other kaiju while still airborn??? THAT WAS AWESOME!
