BTW- McDonald's or Subway's are a "franchise". Good movies are not.

Well in T3 it was clear that Skynet was inevitable. The Military would have some kind of Computer controlled system one way or another. eventually someone would come up with the same concept. In the first 2 movies it was more about the hardware the chip and then the hand and all. One Computer. In T3 with Dyson Dead and the chip gone and the Internet being more integrated with everything, someone else got the idea to Develop a System for the Military and it was more Software based. There was no Computer to shut down that would get rid of Skynet. Skynet was an AI Program that got into everything. Thats the way I got it, anyway.

It's been awhile since I've seen ANY of the Terminator films, so the inconsistancies didn't bother me, as I was clueless to them! But honestly, for what it was...I really enjoyed the series so far! It will be interesting to see if a T-1000 appears in future episodes.

I've also been enjoying this series a lot more than T3, and it's sad to realize that next week's two parter is the season finale because of the strike. It looks like cromartie will be returning for this episode, which is pretty rad.

It's been a good first season though, a lot better than I ever would have pegged it as being.

very true to the characters. And very much going in a good "non-Arnold cliche" direction.

Took a week, but I finally got to watch the season finale tonight. The first episode was good, esp. with how they destroyed the traffic network, but the second episode (aka the final one) was awesome. John had quite the eventful birthday, no? I liked the scene where Derek and John are in the park watching young Derek and young Kyle play, then John gets to meet his dad. Derek is a great character in general, and I was surprised that he used the little girl as bait to free John from that one guy who they thought had the Turk. I think the FBI raid was just nuts. We don't see the action, but rather just agent after agent being blown into the pool where they die to the tune of a Johnny Cash song. I was shocked to see Ellison spared by the Terminator. I also didn't see the last scene coming where the real owner of the Turk catches Cameron in a car bomb. Although it's pretty likely she's not gone.

In all, it was a good season but that stupid writers strike really robbed us of another 4 episodes. I really do hope another season is made because I definitely liked it when I didn't expect to at all. But I am a bit worried because apparently the ratings have been see-sawing between a low 6 and a mid 4 from what Wikipedia says... the pilot had 11 million check it out. But it is Fox and they rode the OC out for a few years even though I recall reading that the ratings for that crap show dropped drastically after season 1 or 2. So here's hoping for season 2 of the Terminator!
