The book "History of Godzilla: 54-99" had a nice section about various Godzilla video games released up to that point, and they had quite a few pics of this game, along with many descriptions of the new "exclusive kaiju" created specifically for this game. The pics of this game always intrigued me, but unlike most other video games, I have read next to nothing about it over the years in fanzines, websites, blogs, messageboards, etc....absolutely nothing (even TohoKingdom has no info on this game).

Unlike Magmouth(Obsidious) and Tazmanian Devil (Krystalak), most of these new creations for this game appeared very cool looking, like they actually belong in a TOHO monster movie. In fact, some of the designs were so cool and original looking that I am puzzled as to why some of them were never considered for a movie, as they far superior to the likes of Orga, Megaguirus, and Monster X, and definitely 100 times better than all the versions of Bagan put together.

This is the first time I've actually seen clips of the game, and it looks pretty damn good. Also, I think this game's basic design and concept would have been perfectly suited for Godzilla Unleashed's storyline game mode (with the battles instead being normal 1 on 1 fights as opposed to RPG style of fighting seen here) instead of the lackluster storyline mode that we actually got with GU. To monster fan fictions fans out there....instead of writing another story featuring Bagan, why not write some stories with some of this game's creations? That might actually be interesting....hell, even fan fics about Obsidious and Krystalak would be more interesting than another Bagan story at this point....

Allright,this is about as :OT: as it gets,but if you go to that Matt Frank guy's deviantart page,he's got a section called Gameranime,and it has BADASS pictures of Gamera and Gaos. Best fanart I've ever seen!
I wonder if his love of Gamera comes from his father,Sandy?
