Aas far as I know, Joker's "trial" will happen in TDK...

I dunno whether to believe the rumors I've read, but this source is the same one that said there'd be a download area for the TDK trailer on a certain cinema appreciation site.....

They(the source) say Aaron Eckhart will transform into two face in this one, leading many to believe that that scene has already been filmed.....so no Joker in pt.3. Sad.

R.I.P. Heath Ledger. You'll be missed.

I'm gonna throw my early opinion on the table here: Ledger's gonna make heads roll with his Joker, and no doubt, even Jack'll be inpressed with this rendition. I also look forward to hearing what other jokers, like Mark Hamil, will have to say about it.

Furthermore, I believe this movie's gonna make serious cash, because of all the wrong reasons. Now people will want to see why Heath couldn't sleep at night because of the Joker......Could this one be that intense?

But what about the movie in its' present state? It HAS finished filming, right? or were there still scenes meant to be filmed?

I think The Joker will be back. He's Batman's #1(unless they want to push the Knightfall/Knightquest storyline next) and would be a shame if he didn't return somewhere down the road.

^^Right. And either way who wants to see the same villian two films in a row, even if it's a cameo? Lets not turn this franchise into (ugh) Spider-Man.

Joker is one of Batman's most infamous foe, I don't think they would kill him off, but I think they would leave him alone for a while. But yeah, I wanna know what Ledger was seeing with The Joker and couldn't go to sleep, sounds awesome, can't wait!

This is just my opinion, but if they were to bring back the Joker down the road I think they could maybe pull it off using Michael Rooker. Obviously he is older which could be toned down with the makeup or play it off as spending hard time in Arkam.

I don't know this was just an observation, I always thought the two had a certian resemlence.

At this point though Rooker is probably much too old.

Kind of spooky considering their last roles (while different in character) were cast in dark movies of both good and evil. Neither survived to see the completion of their films and if Ledger's Joker goes off like most think, it will be very much Brandon esque in the end.

The look of the movies are similar and their characters have the painted faces that are unmistakable icon's, if not even partially similar.

Plus, both were 28.

Heath Wasn't Finished With TDK Post?

According to E! reporter Ted Casablanca, Heath Ledger had not done any looping for TDK:

“Loads of folks have been wondering if Ledger had done any looping for his [TDK] scenes, which he’d finished filming, of course. I've been given the answer on just how many looping sessions (a most essential postproduction process almost always required of actors in a flick) Heath had completed: zero. It’s an enormous problem for Warners to finagle -- not to mention the entire marketing scheme, which had been centered around Ledger as The Joker.â€
