In tomg on the flashback part where katsura pulls the swith and gets electrocuted and then all of a sudden the spacemen come walking in to take her to a operating room and lock the door so dr mafune cant get in ,was it a coincidence that the spacemen arrived in time to sav e her or did they sabotage the switch so katsura would get shocked ?

I had the same impression as you did OtiGoji when I first watched TOMG - the aliens needed a hook into Mafune and 'saving' his daughter [after orchestrating her death/near-death] was certain to bring results
