Green? It looks like a light blue with gold sails etc. to me. Or are you talking about a different standard Gigan?

Man, that's some real distortion. Although it didn't seem to affect the Monster Heaven as much in the comparison shots.

Not that I'm complaining either way. That thing would look good in almost any color scheme. An actual solid blue figure would probably be great as this one.

Hey, got a bunch of new stuff today. Well...maybe not new, since all of it has been out for a while, some for quite a few years already.

Here are a pair of Gigabrain Godzilla exclusives. I'm really trying to pick up whatever I can from this company, as it's pretty much gotten my vote as the best of 2007. And with this glow '62 Godzilla (my sixth) I'm one figure away from having all the Gigabrain 1962 Godzillas. I'm digging the Popy styling on the '65 Godzilla figure, and the more versions of this toy that I get the more I can appreciate the fantastic 1965 head sculpt. It's just a shame that the paint jobs on the pupils are usually off a little on these toys. It throws everything off.
Image

And here are two Gigabrain Jet Jaguar exclusives. This is a figure I missed a lot of variants on and I'm still looking for the standard, glow and clear versions. I'm not sure what show or event the black Jet Jaguar was from, but I love the green splatter all over it. The gold Jet Jaguar is very classy looking as well. But I'll admit as much as I love all these variants I really want to see some more brand new figures.
Image

Now we all know it's just a big octopus but sometimes it's easy to overlook the fact that big ole Oodako does appear in three Toho films. And to the best of my knowledge Marusan has been the only company to release an actual Oodako, a figure that slipped under my radar and took me years to find. Thank God for Lea Chapin. It's not a fantastic toy but I'm very happy to have it. I like the metallic blue paint.
Image

You know, it's taken me years to really appreciate just how cool the M-1 Titanosaurus is. At this point it's beaten out the Bandai as my favorite Titanosaurus figure. So this year I've been scrambling to pick up more variants of it. The green figure is kinda bland, but it's a nice addition. I still like the painted Lucky Bag figure the most though.

Super Robot X/SRX? YES! They do!

X_X But dude, he's sssoooooo expensive. Easily over 700 Dollars because he's formed by R-1, R-2, and R-3 AND well since.. they are limited Mail Away figures you can figure why.

I my self am looking for the even cooler, Compatible Kaiser.

Hey I just realized it's been a while since I posted any of my new pickups:

M1 unpainted & painted black Rat Bat Spider:

These are really beautiful. The picture doesn't do them justice.

Marmit Parababy red King Ghidorah Gallery Exclusive:

I've been looking for this figure for a couple of years, and finally got it for a good price. The red & gold colors look great on this sculpt.

Toygraph Maquette Godzilla (black w/ blue paint version):

I already had the brown/green one that came w/ the glow diver, but this is a really nice looking version too. I was afraid the blue paint would clash with the dark vinyl, but it doesn't at all. Very nice looking toy.

Last one for now, although I've been disappointed by CCP's stuff in the past this CCP Famima exclusive Gamera 2 is really great. Nice thick vinyl, a little soft but not at all flimsy, and the sculpt detail & color is great:

Look what I got today! :D

My first Marmit Monster Heaven figure, and what is definately the oldest item in my collection, Sonorama's Giant Monster Shock(I think that's the name of the book). This is the first, and probably only, thing I'll ever have that is old enough to sport the old white paper licensing sticker. As to the book itself, now I know why these books are considered as desirable as they are. Some really nice large color photographs, and the original artwork is wonderful. These paintings should be available in a poster format...
The other treasure is Marmit's Monster Heaven Godzilla '67. I've been wanting this figure ever since Legion did his Vinyl Figure Award for the '67. I'm very happy to report that it looks even better in person. The '67 suit was one that I didn't have any versions of, and this one struck me as the best I've seen, so I'm very happy to have it. Now I just have to find that original teal release they did of the "Burning Godzilla". :)

^^Wow, the '67 is one in demand MH figure, isn't it. I'm glad I've enlightened a few folks here.

And good luck with the Burning Godzilla.

See how much help your Vinyl Figure awards are? If it hadn't been for you doing them, I wouldn't even have known about this figure. And I have to add, even though I've always favored model kits for their "realism", I'm finding that there are more and more straight-up toys that are really grabbing my attention. Besides the aforementioned Marmits, that Pilot Ace King Ghidorah and Gigabrain Gigan are looking very tempting. As a matter of fact, I saw the Pilot Ace figure at Toy Tokyo last time I was in New York, and I now regret not picking it up. It looks so cool in person! Nice sculpt, and really a "beefy" figure. Instead I ended up getting the CCP glow Varan, which is still a nice figure, but man the Ghidorah would've been sweet!

I really like the Marmit VP Pulgassari. I was gonna bid on one on ebay a few months back but I didn't never did. I didn't even know they released Parababy version of Pulgassari. Anyway I got some more parababies from ebay today: Pestar, Vira Seijin and Pegassa.

Hello all! Damn, you guys have been picking up some great stuff these days! Making me jealous. Guess I got some good stuff in the pipeline, but it still really sucks to stop buying Godzilla stuff. I miss opening big boxes full of Yahoo Japan items! Guess it'll be even longer after I'm ready to buy again with the low dollar. Oy.

Anyway, I have another 5-page paper (My 4th this week) and 3 tests on Monday, so I thought I'd procrastinate by posting here! Yay!

Only a couple things to report. I finished out my American Trendmasters GINO Action figure collection. Like 2 of the missing guys and a vehicle set... I care almost as little as you do. Dunno wth they all are, they were simply dirt cheap.

Second batch of dirt cheap happens to be more of the Trendmasters hatched figures... pretty much all repeats, but in different packaging... getting sick of the hatchlings. The one that I am quite happy about is the Standard Godzilla in Godzilla Wars packaging. I have only been able to find the twist-neck version (got a 4th this time too) for over a year! Now I need the standard in the KotM package. And yeah, I have been pissing myself over those Doom Island figures currently on eBay, too. I might have to eat chicken soup for a bit longer than this cold lasts if I go for them, but I'd really like to try.

And, finally, I got a new model from Bill. It's always nice to hear from him... even when he's telling me to pay, but he did a damn good job!

I so love these Paradise kits! Hope I can get some more eventually...
Well then! I should be back in action soon! I hope to have some big updates to the site this holiday. Or else, if I ever meet GForever at a convention, I'm almost certain my next of kin will be notified...
