I like all the Y-MSF figs. Yes the vinyl is thin on Megalon, and the joints are loose. I'm more bothered by the loose joints than the thin vinyl... but again, these were licensed/sold as models and Tony at tempting toys had them put together and painted. Technically if you treated them like models and put a little glue on the joints that might be the better way to go, but I've left mine unglued.

Things are a bit out of proportion, especially the tail, but I don't mind a little artistic license.

I only have 2 Y-MSF figs, the Hedorah and Megalon. Meglaon is great though I will tell you to watch out for the Horn(especially) and tail. As Mysterio mentioned above, these were originally sold as small vinyl model kits. Tempting Toys did a great job turning them into figs though they still are more like model kits than toys,. Megalon has some moveable arms which I guess is pretty similar to most of the Bandai 6" figs w/ limited articulation. I like the sculpt and the figure as a whole but the vinyl is cheap and when I thought the tail could move, I ripped it off by accident. OOPS..... I glued it back on w/ gorilla glue so it will never move again.....

Can anyone post a pic of Megalon next to the Red Tag Hesei Godzilla figure?

As for all the info everyone has been giving, I was thinking as having as a figure. But, good thing I got everyones feed back on it. As I said before, I'll probably get it for the sack of having a Megalon.

Does stuffing it with packaging peanuts help though? In terms of making it more solid.

Stuffing it with packing peanuts might help, I haven't tried that but it sounds feasible... If you want to try something to firm up the loose joints and don't want to resort to glue, I would suggest the soft clear wax you can get at craft stores to hold candles in candle holders that are too big for them... That orthodontist wax may work too, but it's been years since I had my hands on any of that stuff and can't recall how soft it was.

Well, the only Megalon had in my reach was the one at Tempting Toys, and now that one is gone.

But, I'll keep all your info next time I bump into one.

I see the Bandai 8 inch Megalon on ebay every now and then, so you should be able to find one.

Or you could save more $$ and buy a Marmit. I also frequently see Monster Heaven Megalons on ebay, and those are very nice.

I have the Y-MSF Hedorah and Gabara. I really like the Gabara, the Hedorah is cool looking as well, although a bit flimsy.

The Marmit Monster Heaven Megalon is awesome. If you can get any Megalon figure, that's the one to go for.
