Godzilla Movies in HD

THe Monster Channel on the Dish network Shows Godzilla movies all the time. It is a High Def channel and is included in the High Def package. Great Channel. This month it is God zilla vs Megaruis, Godzilla 2000 and Godzilla 1995. In the past they have pretty shown almost all the new old movies as well

This may shock some people by my asking...but do we really WANT to see Kaiju films in HD quality? I've already noticed many more of the "wires" in the Godzilla series while collecting all the beautiful DVD releases out there, and I can only imagine what they would look like in HD. It's not that I couldn't still enjoy a movie with visible effects flaws, but I don't want to see EVERY bit of behind the scenes magic! :D

High-def still can't touch a decent 35mm print, so if such things were tolerable in theaters, they can be tolerable on an HD broadcast/disc.
