It's not boring. I consider this a Toho classic. Great old-school dub job with that "Saturday afternoon Monster movie " feel to it. Actually, that's how I grew up with it. Not sure if the "Space Amoeba" version that is soon to be released will be as cool as the original U.S. version.

We'll see.

It's not as bad as Musukogoji makes it out to be... check out the movie, and judge for yourself. The monsters do a lot more grappling then his discription lets on... plus, there's the cross cutting to the action with the human characters, and the film is sprinkled with Kaiju Goodness throughout. A nice diversion for those into the genre -- at least I think so, that's why I bought the Japanese laserdisc of it.

we can only hope that somehow they can snag the AIP dub- i know Toho had a 16mm print of the US version back in the late 90s. A friend rented it for the local "Haunted Carnival" Film Festival.

I'm sorry but I love this movie. True, its one of Honda's weakest, but its damn fun.
