I'm gonna be very honest and say: this sucks @$$

Remember the cryptic AICN message about the viral "Cloverfield" campaign: "Prepare for A LOT "excess information" and public confusion before the officilal release of the movie. And always remember: It's not what you think."

Abrams won't come out and show us the monster, nor will he spill the beans in ANY way, shape, or form about the movie's plot.

Basically, anyone making judgement over this movie NOW, is really giving themselves an unwarranted headache, kinda like hitting your head whenever you do something stupid....over, and over, and over, and over......

Well, I might have come across someone/something that pretty much says that the "raptor like" statement is completely false, and there is only the giant monster..... and actually might be two giant monsters.

As I come across new stuff, I'll let you know, but for now, that plot about raptor like creatures is fake.

I have to say that Abrams seems to be committing movie suicide by giving it this much hype with barley even a plot description. At least Chris Nolan and the Dark Knight folks keep supplying us with viral websites, pics, and convention appearances, while still remaining secretive about the project. Abrams has shown nothing since the trailer (unless you count the poster), which is why my excitement for it has kinda died down. The Slusho stuff is too cryptic to even bother with for me, so new Cloverfield info is pretty boring. He's letting the fans build their expectations up to such a ridiculous degree that when it comes out, they will most likely be torn down immediately.
