- They're trying to find a way to include Shatner as well
- No new Kirk has been cast yet, they're still searching

It has been announced that there will be no Shatner in the new Star Trek....and of course Shatner took the classy approach saying he was shocked he wasn't in the movie and that he's happy for Leonard, but can't understand why they wouldn't use him given his presence would insure a solid box office for them....Nice Bill...They should have told him they would write him in so long as he wears his T.J. Hooker perm toupe'.

Speaking of CLOVER TREK, of the Trek cast at the Cloverfield premiere. Obviously no make-up or costumes, but as they're shooting now, it's a great peek at the new crew. Karl Urban looks so ready to channel DeForest Kelley!

If you take a second look at the under construction Enterprise image - you should notice something missing...

No stars - perhaps those rumors of the Enterprise being built in Area 51 have some truth to them.

In any case - this under construction image should only be in the teaser. We already know that the Enterprise NCC-1701 was launched 5 years before Kirk entered Starfleet Academy.
