I wouldn't say it's overrated on the whole either, but there are a lot of people who feel it's better than any of the other 28 films.

Most of them are pretty ignorant anyway, though.

No offense to anyone, but this topic is lame....NO ONE, aside from 1 or 2 people out of every 1,000,000,000,000,000 people, overrates GINO. GINO is universally despised by G fans, and most non G fans also thought it sucked.

It's topics like these that make wish some real news was happening....any new, interesting news about the G 3D Imax film????!

To be honest, what on earth do you expect? As well as the perceived "fakeness" of the Japanese Godzilla films, it's just as much cultural snobbery as anything.

Moonlight, I think much of the hate is because the movie is more of a remake of "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms" than anything even remotely resembling a Godzilla movie except for the name.

The fact that the monster is a total wuss compared to most other kaiju didn't help, either.
