Honest criticism: Ummm...that....didn't...work.......

Your last one was a good attempt, but still sorta missed the mark a bit(I doubt the person below his foot can't see it coming, plus in smoke like that, you shouldn't be able to see the foot that well, and the person below him should have a darker shadow color......just tiny details).

In this one it's blatantly obvious.

Still nice try, though!

I stated it earlier, but I'll do it again- every single clue given so far (giant whales/Slusho, explosive attack, "it's alive", all the japanese stuff) point towards a Godzilla- LIKE kaiju. Not godzilla himself, but the definite vibe of the first G-movie as an allegory for a nuclear attack, told with a monster.

I think this the only parallel they are going for, not to make it any specific creature/god/giant robot or whatever.

It has been pretty much confirmed by inside sources, and the location filming that has been seen happening (so far) that it is all shot on hand-held video cameras. This and the meager 30mil budget lead me to believe the monster might not ever be fully seen at all.

Yeah, J.J. Abrams will be speaking there about the new Star Trek, and also this movie, of which he will release some details and the Title, so we will no longer have to refer to it as Cloverfield....though in an odd way, I have always liked that name and it has since grown on me.....even if it has no connection to the movie, unless it's a character's name.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned before, but fromwhat I've seen so far, "Monstrous" might be an homage to Godzilla,in a way that, like Gojira, it's getting to the essence of kaiju - an allusion to a big, traumatic event in a country's history.

It seems to me that, if you look closely, this is an allusion to 9-11 and terrorism(I think someone mentioned this) with the people running throughout the streets in terror and the army going after the cause of the problem.
