I know I'm still one of the only people who actually likes the movie but I was hoping a bit more from an otherwise great company like ShoutFactory.

I may end up cancelling my pre-order on the MAN-EATER OF HYDRA disc:

IGN has a review up with screencaps. It appears the aspect ratio is 1.85:1.



**edit**

If you look closely at the screencaps you'll notice a small grey bar at the bottom indicating the movie was sourced from a VHS tape. :lol:

1.85:1 is the correct ratio (keeping in mind that the monster fights are now cropped from 2.35:1). Luckily I have a nice fan-made DVD with subs and the atrocious dub. I highly doubt any of the movies on these new releases were licensed too...

The only disc I ended up ordering was for MONSTROID. Now I wish I had canceled that too. The quality is actually worse than my DVD-R transfer from a beat-up LP mode VHS tape.

So I guess they had MillCreek Entertainment find the sources? Shame on you ShoutFactory! :lol:

Does anyone know of an "official" VHS release of MONSTER? (Which is the actual on-screen title). I know it's a terrible piece of a crap movie.. but I was just curious.
