Question on Bandai Space Godzilla.

Postby BrollySupersj » Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:14 pm

My Space Godzilla seems to have a shorter arm then the other. I carefully try and pull it out, to see if it's just in the hole to much, doesn't work. Anyone have this problem?

hmmm never heard of that issue ever before. Like Legacy of Gamera said..which year do you have...

their is the standard 1995 8 inch version then their are the 4 reissues.

2 from 1998, one from 2001 and one from 2005.

Either way..the only thing i can think of is that your spacegodzilla might have some slight warpage to it. especially if it is one of the 6 inch ones from 2001 and up. The vinyl was softer than was was previous used which makes them more easy to warp. I have a 6" 93 MechaGodzilla that has some warpage to the foot. He dont stand up right. Soft vinyl for you!

Well I use to have the 1998 6inch version. But I didn't notice his short arm till a couple years later. Then, with the Bandai Creation verion, the one I have at the moment. I have encountered the problem again.

Well it bothers me this much because all the other bandai zilla figures I have are just fine. Body parts are even and what not.

You gotta look at Bandai for what it is: a big Japanese corporation, but a corporation nonetheless. They want to give a quality product for certain, but the profit margin is most definitely what keeps a lot of things from happening.

The big 8" Spacegodzilla has moving legs, but the head joint is awkward and the spines are as bad as anything else Bandai's made from his design.

And to be fair, Spacegodzilla can levitate. Well, could levitate.

One arm being longer than the other will only bother you as much as you let it. A good toy is a good toy and you can't let a design flaw irritate you, at least to the point where you cannot any longer enjoy the whole toy. If something is wrong with a toy, you might have a legitimate reason to want to fix or replace it. But a sculpt design getting in the way of having fun with a single toy is unreasonable, especially one that was designed for one purpose: to make money.

I mean, it's a nice toy, but it ain't no Marmit.

I never really liked Marmit figures, just the Bandai. I try not to let bother me, but it's one of those things that kinda irritates you when you see it. Doesn't mean I'm gonna go throw away my Space G, the paint application is what I like the most. So, that saves it for me.
