And the enigma intensifies. It's been a busy past couple of days for that Untitled J.J. Abrams Project (aka "Cloverfield") we've been following. You can read our last report here.

Two websites dedicated to a chap named Ethan Haas are now live - one entitled EthanHaaswasright.com, the other, EthanHaaswaswrong.blogspot.com. The latter drives you to a blog that spends most of its time disspelling rumors while the former challenges you with a puzzle (where's Sydney Bristow when you need her?). Memorize the movement of the puzzle pieces and you'll be taken to raw video footage with a special message.

Tip: Look to the stars for help. You may have to e-mail someone named "Van" - he'll guide you through all five puzzles. We've given it a whirl...

What's it all mean? Beats us, but this is shaping up to be more than just a rumored "monster movie." And knowing J.J. Abrams' work, things are probably going to get a helluva lot more cryptic.

Someone unlocked the message.

They got a video of a guy saying this:

My name is Dan, i have the writings of an Ethan Hass here. I thought it was just some old story, but then it began to sound like he'd actually seen the future. Everything up to now has happened exactly as he said it would... and then there's his predictions of the future. So many people died. You were able to find this message, you're one of us, so you must know what needs to be done. But to be sure, i have to test you. You need to find others and help us try to stop it. You must send them here to prove that they're one of us. It's already (obvious we're not strong enough yet -?), you only have until August 1st to prepare. Trust Haas (for the answer.) or (until the end, sir.)

hmmm...now i am even more excited to go see Transformers. I kinda wish i didnt stumble upon this discussion but now i am very very anxious to see this trailer. From what you are all saying...this sounds really neat. Destruction, Roars of some sort and scared people? Sounds like a plan to me!

Saw Transformers tonight. I missed these threads, so this was the first time seeing/hearing about "Cloverfield".
The 'roar' of the 'creature' didn't seem too Godzilla-esque to me. Just a general roar.
Still pretty stoked though.
If they go through all the trouble to not show a movie title, and then give a fake title of Cloverfield, why would they go and say "The Parasite"? I think that's another cover-up as well. (correct me if I'm wrong).
It'd better be better than "Reptilian".
The whole massive fireball in the city gave me somewhat of a Gamera feel.

This dude on IMDB claims he can see a wing flap for a split second in the air. He took screenshots and then come guy lightened his screenshot. I asked him to circle where he thinks it is. But these are the JPEG's so far.

Haha, it's just smoke.
