I'm obviously not JD or any of the other convention planners, but I can't see any logical reason to abandon Chicago at any point in the future.
They've had it there for so long that repeat-attenders have probably got their plans fixed each summer that they come back, and the fact that geographically it's basically in the middle of the country that it wouldn't really make sense to move it.
Especially not to me, being that I live thirty minutes south of the hotel.
As far as three movies goes, itting in a theatre for two movies straight isn't exactly the first thing that would come to mind for me to have fun during this convention. It's been great in the past, but then there were also great
new movies in the past to do it with.
We've got some great new DVD's coming out this summer and I think it would be much more reasonable (and let's not forget more accessible) for the vast majority of convention goers for G-Fest to have in-hotel screenings in the session rooms of the movies we love.
Pickwick is great, but I think Lord Hastur has pretty much said it.
