That's right. I totally forgot about that. Well, looks like it's the cheap-ass 2 movie on 1 disc DVD's for me haha. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, it would be worth it to get a region free player and the Madman discs. Of the Heisei films you want, I have Destoroyah, and it's far superior to the R1 release.

For English-speaking fans who want the latter five Heisei films uncut and subtitled, Madman's R4s are must-owns. Brick Side, if you don't own a region-free player yet, get one. If you're a member of this fandom then you're only going to be able to go so far with just a region 1 player without severely limiting yourself from some great and affordable DVD releases.

Madman's discs are about the same price as Sony's (when you convert the Australian dollars to USD). They even have the 5.1 remixes, international English dubs, and random samplings of Godzilla trailers to boot. There is absolutely no reason to take Sony's dismal Heisei R1s over them.

Not to mention the R3 hong kong releases, i totally forgot to mention those...
I have the '92 mothra & the GvsBiollante R3 discs. They're anamorphic, have eng subs & are dirt cheap. Not as nice as the madman discs, but they're a great value if you shop around for the best price. Just stay away from the non-anamorphic R3 discs... (i'm looking at you G84 & gvsKing Ghidorah...)
