I just watched Monster From a Prehistoric Planet. I've never liked this movie. I thought, however, that from a newer more kaiju-friendly perspective, I might be able to like it more.

No.

It is THE most by the numbers Kaiju movie ever made. Nothing is left to the imagination.

Civilized man go to island, told no take baby. They take baby anyway. Momma and Daddy come to city and destroy stuff looking for baby.

Bad man don't want to give up baby, parents kill many.

Bad man give up baby, parents happy. They go home.

And the Kaiju design wasn't bad. One single Gappa monster in a good plot could have been such an @ss-kickin' movie.



But, alas, we got the movie they made instead. ya coulda been somebody Gappa. Instead your endless, and really well publicized, anger lulled us to sleep.

I think the movie's OK,I liked it more than I didn't,but I'm not in a huge hurry to rewatch it anytime soon.

they are 2 different movie


but gorgo is a classic and one of my favorite monster .

i love my m-1 gorgo but i need a gappa very bad !
