There will more than likely be a Heisei set.

I'm surprised at how fast pics of these came out, considering we just got pictures of the other set. Of course, these are repaints, but still.

Another upcoming figure from Pilot Ace. And what a surprise...it's another Hedora.

I like the paint scheme though...

It will be available at the Tokyo Super Festival later this month. Appears to be limited to 100 pieces.

In other news apparently the Marmit Gorosaurus is already out so hopefully I'll have him by the end of the month.

Got even more new figures being released in the coming months, one being a huge surprise to me, and something I've wanted to see for a long time.

First up from Marusan is a brand new Mogera figure, available at the end of May:

It seems that for every Varan or King Seasar Marusan put out they also put out figures that are actually really nice, such as this Mogera, or their Yog monsters.

For reference, here's Marusan's last Mogera from two years ago:

And next up is a new figure from Giganbrain, a Gigan styled after the way the monster looked in "Godzilla vs Megalon", available in August.

Like I said before, I've been waiting for a figure like this for a very long time. It's nice to know that we've come so far in toy designs that it's actually possible for companies to differentiate two similar-looking monster suits. It's obvious this figures is designed to act as a companion to Marmit's Monster Heaven Gigan. Hopefully it'll look as good in perosn as it does in this picture. Alongside Pilot Ace, Gigabrain is really becoming the line to collect for me and it's nice to see them doing things other companies arent doing. Hopefully a Megalon isn't far behind.

Is it too pre-emptive for me to say that Gigabrain might overthrow Marmit for best Gigan sculpt? I did that before with the Pilot Ace before I noticed the wimpy sails, but this one seems to have the full package. A little tall, maybe, but detailed? Check. Sails? Check. Proportions? Eh, it looks a little skinny, but I think that's just part of it being a Megalon version.

Guess I'd need a Gigabrain JJ now too... and I never see the normal version around, mostly just the newer purple one!

In my own defense, I do visit the Marketplace on a regular basis, I just haven't in the past two or three days. The normal JJ is definitely a new addition. :)

Thats funny. I've got just as many different Hedora figures as you do, and I don't even like Hedora all that much either. Now if Gigan was as popular as Hedora...

Image

...this pile (which is missing the Bandai Museum figure because I simple forgot about it, as well as all the FW versions) would look a whole lot bigger. And with the Pilot Ace and Gigabrain figures, as well as the built-up version of Marmit's Iron Joe kit (as long as I get it) it's gonna be a 2007 full of Gigan goodness.

I like Gigan too, but you've got way more Gigans than I do (but where are the Popys?). I wonder why I've ended up with so many more Hedorahs than Gigans?
