I doubt Toei would attempt Blu-Ray anytime soon. If they do, it'll be with a new series. I HIGHLY doubt DaiRanger would get a Blu-Ray release this decade, since TOEI's releases are said to reflect their "TOEI Channel" programming, which currently contains GaoRanger through GekiRanger, and even some of those aren't out on DVD/VHS or are, but not completely.

Odds are, GoSei Sentai DaiRanger's more likely to get remade than TOEI speeding up their release process.....At ths point anyway.

I believe if more fans begin asking for DaiRanger, they'll skip to it, being that aside from GekiRanger and probably Kakuranger, it was the only one to feature a different style of show - not highly technological, not too "out there", but still within the realms of reality, and had a high emphasis on martial arts.

BR is expensive, but I do have a PS3. Anyway, yes, in fact, BR has 100% support in Japan, with Bandai and WB also supporting HD-DVD (but they are the only two companies besides Toshiba).

As for what is on BR thus far, I don't think they have released anything yet, but then again, right now, mostly anime is the only thing that has come out on HD that isn't AMerican movies.

Jan, Ran....what's GekiBlue's name? Dan?

I haven't really paid attention to the subs......I'm kinda lost. :P

Yep. It's all 'bout Ran....Funny how japanese sentai make more sense in character-focused episodes than american episodes do....

I just rewatched episode 5. Yay, Ran! Makes me want to draw more fan art of her! XD

esp. while henshin-ing.......that's what makes super sentai fun!!! :D :P

BTW, just guessing, but Disney already named their 2008 incarnation: Power Rangers: Beast Fist. Currently, if you type is goes straight to Jetix.

Of course, it's happened before: "Power Rangers: Relic Hunters" was the code name for Operation Overdrive, which, BTW, sounds like it should be about racers rather than scavengers.

Guess that's how the cookie crumbles.

Power Ranger kitties is right.....If they can't do much with OO, then how can we expect something worthwhile in "Beast Fist"?

Oh, well - doesn't matter, it's not like I'd care much later.

BTW, some forums are saying that GekiRanger will run for 55 Eps., with two more movies on the way! Also, the planned team-up movie won't be the same as you think - GekiRanger is set to team up with actual teams rather than individuals, unlike Boukenger vs Super Sentai.

How they know this is beyond my knowledge. Also, the fact that they don't know what teams they'll team up with sounds fishy.

See, B vs SS kinda messed it up because they pretty much had every new age sentai represented there, so we wouldn't see anything new in GekiRanger....so this "new idea" is set to come into play.

I'm hoping they team up with other martial arts inspired sentai like Maskman and DaiRanger...but that's dreaming too much isn't it?

55 episodes? I'm okay with that! This is seriously the first sentai series I'm so super-addicted to now... :D

Episode 7 next week! How do you counter someone who attacks while dancing? With more dancing!

I love this show!
