Oh, come on, they're all HEROES! If Toei and Toho ever considered working together at the time, all three characters (Godzilla, Gaiking and Great Mazinger) would no doubt team up to fight each others' respective foes! (Imagine Gigan, Mechagodzilla, Gaiking's Emperor Darius and Great Mazinger's Great Dark Shogun becoming allies against the heroes!)

The US Shogun Godzilla (featured in the commercials) will be the evil midget villain bent on destroying all humanity (yes, he is pathetically short compared to the others) while the MUCH more impressive and truer to Showa-era form, Japanese Shogun Godzilla will end up playing the hero to team up with Mazinger while fighting his evil not-so identical twin. Oh, and we'll throw Shogun Rodan into the mix somewhere along the line.

You must show no mercy, nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you... for your greatness will silence them all!

One time my grandpa had somehow obtained a bad of random assorted toys and, oddly enough, one of the items inside was the Godzilla fist, and only the fist. I've never had the actual figure though!

I got one brand new when they were first released in '78.
I didn't like the Firebreath thing so I surgically removed it.
(Replaced the missing front teeth with yellow modeling clay and made properly shaped Dorsal plates from green & gray)

I last recall seeing it somewhere during High School.
Went missing after that.

Found the Shogun Godzilla that currently resides as Centerpiece to my collection at a collectibles shop.

Hand and Tail missing, toes cracked and red handle not only broken off, but entire Fire tongue mechanism removed and the thumbprint of an 11 year old child superglued on the top of his head...
MY thumbprint.

Not sure how he ended up in that toy shop, but by wild coincidence my own toy found it's way back to me.
I've since replaced the head, tail and cracked toenails with pieces from a Donor toy that had a cracked body

Never found a replacement hand, though.
Someone send me their Spare, huh? ;)
