Well, I don't have them, but that's because I live in Michigan, and there is nary such a thing as a decent paying wage around. And, I just started a new job last week, so I'm waiting on my first paycheck this Thursday (should be decent enough).

I'm honestly in no hurry to get these DVDs. I already have the R2s, and it'll be cool to watch them subbed on the TV instead of on the computer with downloaded subtitles, and CM's DVDs are appearing to have slightly better picture than their R2 counterparts with new transfers of the prints done just for these discs with appropriate adjustment to the black levels and color contrast for North American viewing systems. Plus, the extras are looking to be great to check out.

Still, these aren't immediate must-haves for me. I can easily wait for the box set, if for no other reason than to have a cool-looking box to keep them all in. The fact that they're all slimcased discs means that they'd probably look weird on the shelf without being inside a box anyway.

The problem is, for people like myself who put the films in chronological order its going to look out of place no matter what, I look at my shelf and I see a wide spine for Gojira, followed by a slim spine for GRA, followed by a armary spine for GVKK followed by another slip spine for MVG and so on and so forth, but Ill get used to it, one day.

The slim design for the Classic Media DVDs doesn't really bother me that much. All of my DVD cases get thrown in the attic while the superior artwork from my LD collection adorns the walls.

Classic Media should seriously start imitating the oversized book-like cases X-Rated Kult DVD in Germany puts their discs in. Not only would the gigantic cases make the films stand out in store shelves (these are Godzilla films, afterall), this design and size would eliminate the need for those annoying wrap-around labels that keep the CM DVD cases shut.
