Man sounds like your hosting company was REALLY ripping you off paying that much a month. If you're interested to still host your site and retain everything but the large files, I suggest you try out JiffyNet Hosting: http://www.jiffynet.net/compareplans.htm. I used them awhile back to host some websites and a forum. Their prices are quite reasonable.
