I'm fine with this. If that's the best version they could find then horray for them for releasing it. I actually think we're lucky, 'cause none of MB other Toho films had their AIP dubbs.

Hey all, Media Blasters sent me the same info a few days ago, but they explained that the specs weren't 100% locked and more concrete info would be coming in the next few days.

When I got the specs the first thing I did was contact MB and recommend that they not use a 1.78:1 version. They replied that they are looking into options to have the American version FCTW in the correct 2.35:1 and should know one way or the other by this time next week.

Since everything is up in the air at this point I decided not to run a report on SciFi Japan until the specs were (hopefully) finalized next week. There didn't seem any point in possibly upsetting everyone over something that might never happen. I can see that plan turned out well... :lol:

As soon as I hear anything from Media Blasters I'll pass it along.

Hmmm... very cheesy looking in comparison with the somewhat classy look of their other stuff. Reminds me of Universal art for KKvG and KKE.

...but it has the title "Frankenstein Conquers the World" so it is immediately awesome.

Personally, I like the original title of Frankenstein vs. Baragon more, but whatever. I'm just glad we're getting a kick ass DVD of this kick ass movie! A 2 disc FCTW, with a commentary and extras? 10 years ago, who would have thought we'd EVER get something as cool as this?!
