It doesn't seem so bad - I know there's significant changes from the Rider series it's built from [I've not seen the series myself], but also that it is not meant to be that series either. So it looks like the adaptation has promise - only time will tell if it'll prove to be of good caliber.

I kinda wish the pronounciation of 'kamen' had been practiced more - they way the guy says makes it sound like 'common'.

Honestly, I thought it was very good.

It'd kick Masked Rider COMPLETELY out of the picture in both execution and feel. The actors are probably stand-ins for the final cast, unless no final cast was acquired.

Since we're on the subject, some trivia: before Masked Rider, the main actor was a big B-Movie star...he droppped off the B-Movie radar since then...to make things even more painful, he was a martial arts expert...(don't know how much of an "expert" he was though, but he was a pro)....sad..... :?

I don't see what the big deal is with Saban's Masked Rider, I thought it was a good show.

I really like the idea of simply dubbing a series instead of going through all the extra work of adaptation. A respectable & enjoyable dub performance is means a lot - just look at Ultraman: decades after it's initial NA television release it remains a fondly remembered series.

But I also see value in a real quality adaptation - Voltron is certainly not Go Lion! however it's a series may folks my age have fond memories of.

^ What they did with Voltron isn't like refilming the show with different actors.
