Thank you Jissoji-San for all the memories you gave this once young man.
It was with your help that I battled monsters and evil aliens along the side of Ultraman!

Ultraman was my childhood hero and he continues to be a hero to me well into my adulthood.

Words can't describe the positive impact you and Ultraman have had on my love for all things fantastic.

You will be missed,

Earlier this year, Akio Jissoji discussed his Edogawa Rampo films in an excellent interview by Japan Times writer Mark Shilling:
