Does anyone know if there's a shipping coupon that still works? GRAMOTH1 is expired. Also, what the heck?! I'm in the checkout phase & there's sales tax? I've never had sales tax on anything bought over the internet. Anyone else get charged with that? Thanks.

I watched MOTHRA VS. GODZILLA yesterday, it is a gorgeous transfer. There wasn't any noticeable print damage or dirt that I could see (Toho has kept VERY good care of this movie, and it's trailer!).

The translation for both movies was great, GRA was a vast improvement over my VDK copy. The GIGANTIS commentary was good, and woot to Brad for his radio spots featured in it!

I compared Simitar's transfer to Monster HD's transfer of GODZILLA VS. THE THING on the CM disc, and the frontier missile sequence looks much better on the Simitar disc (to my eyes, anyway). Much brighter. Obviously the Simitar disc has really bad encoding problems, and the colour is occasionally washed out compared to the other prints. Monsters HD's transfer is cropped both on the sides, and on the top & bottom. Hence why I'm offering a copy of the Simitar version as a bonus in my ebay auction.

So how does it compare to the Region 2?

I love the GRA commentary. Kind of an informative MST3K audio track. Awesome!

If Classic Media chooses to address this issue, then they have a good opportunity to do so while the discs are being "postponed" until spring. Sell whatever stock they have left, and then have the next pressings be the reauthored discs.

The fact that this happened on the Japanese version is what bothered me the most (Afterall, they spent all that money to get a brand new print of it!).
