Amazon had them cheaper and I get free 2 day shipping, but I have no real issue about ordering directly through CM. I can see why it would bother some people, but the alternative (we all wait until Spring) would be much worse. From a marketing POV, I can sort of see the logic (lots of big releases flooding in over the next few weeks). OTOH, it's kind of weird to make the decision at the last second, and to choose to miss the holiday shopping list traffic.

Still, what you guys are pointing out about a potentially big security problem is a real big no-no. I already ordered, but everyone else may want to wait until we hear back on this.

And if it was my name and number showing up, don't call me. Especially you, Evil Keith! Don't use my Amex card!!

EDIT: YEAH, confirmed. I see the same issue. I'm going to check and see if I can accelerate something being done about this (no connections, but an idea)

Just FYI, I figured out the problem they're having, but they'll have to fix it obviously. In short, the server is retaining the information of the last person to login, and re-presenting it to the public when they click CREATE NEW ACCOUNT. Clicking LOGOUT fixes the problem. I cleared our MZ member's information this way, went into my own account, and changed the identifying particulars to dummy information. I was able to repeat the error.

Also, the whole account creation and shopping basket function is completely screwed right now, so you can't order anyway. They just need to get it offline. I've sent all the details of the error to the contacts I have, so hopefully they'll get things right ASAP. The good news is that, as far as I can tell, the public has no way of easily accessing actual credit card information, since everything is all screwed up. But I wouldn't trust a skillful hacker or someone that actually knows the e-commerce software to not get around that, so my advice still stands. Stay away!

If it does make you feel safer, you can always login to your account, and change all the particulars to dummy non-identifying information, then save. Then, goto CREATE NEW ACCOUNT and LOGOUT. That way, your information (even your dummy information) shouldn't be presented.

Sorry, folks (not that this has anything to do with me), that's all I can tell you now!

I'm kinda confused with all this. I ordered the two DVDs yesterday on CMs website. I got an email from them confirming my order(shipping address and all that was right). I come on here to see that there might be some privacy issues, so I logged on there again to see if my information was the same, and it was. So am I ok then?

Sorry if this question seems out of place, I just want the DVDs really bad, and don't want something bad to happen.

I'm not saying you know, but do you think my order was placed(Got a email, but I think that's just a electronic thing(, I ordered them last night(Not sure when this problem happend....It isnt in my CC Statement yet, but that might be because my CC company hasnt put it in yet(But I don't know). I agree that I am more concerned about my personal information, but it's all in the same.

Was this problem around when Gojira was alone on the shopping part of the site?

HAS ANYONE ELSE RECEIVED AN EMAIL AFTER THEY MADE THERE ORDER?))---not yelling---

So if you have a pre-existing account (before Gojira) on there and haven't used it, you don't need to worry, right?
